We received over two hundred essays from gifted and talented students
from across the U.S. and the world! Thank you all students who participated
in the contest!
Students were asked to write an original 500-word essay addressing
the question: How can American education improve its preparation of today's
students for tomorrow's world?
The first place winner received a full scholarship to a three-week residential
Summer Institute for the Gifted program. The second place winner received
a $1,000 scholarship to a three-week residential Summer Institute for
the Gifted program. Two third place winners received a $500 scholarship
each to a three-week residential Summer Institute for the Gifted program.
