The Summer Institute for the Gifted Day Program provides instruction in approximately 30 courses during its regular
academic schedule and engages students in recreational activities every day. Courses are taught at levels appropriate for academically gifted
students in Kindergarten through eighth grade, covering humanities, mathematics, and sciences, and multi-disciplinary courses. Every student selects
three courses and has a recreational period. Each class meets five times a week for 90 minutes
each. Recreational activities provide an opportunity
to learn new skills or enhance existing talents.
New for 2010!
For those students who want to continue with a day program option, or are not quite ready for a residential program, many SIG day campuses will now include courses for students who have completed grades 7-8 as well as K-6. Please see the listing of day programs to see the grade levels offered at each one. |
