SIG Open Houses

The Summer Institute for the Gifted (SIG) invites parents and their children to attend Open Houses at certain campuses to learn more about SIG programs details, the academic curriculum, and support services. Parents and their children are welcome to attend the Open Houses, and registration is required.

Each Open House begins at 9:30 a.m. and ends at 12 p.m. The schedule includes a presentation, question and answer session, and tour of the campus.

SIG Reach and Teach Workshops
 

Teachers, parents, and gifted students are invited to a morning of problem-based learning and gifted methodology workshops.

Teachers and parents will learn about problem-based learning; see examples; and share, question, and practice writing problems of their own to use with their students and children. Students will conduct fun, interactive science experiments!

The workshops run from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Registration is required; to register, please contact Wanda Rodriguez at (203) 399-5032.
