* A $50 late payment fee will be incurred if payment isn't made in full 45 days in advance of the program start date. SIG accepts checks, money orders, wire transfers, Visa, MasterCard and American Express credit cards. Please be advised that returned checks and declined credit cards will incur a $25 charge per occurrence.

World Class Coverage Insurance is available for purchase for all programs for an additional cost of $75 for domestic students. International Students are automatically enrolled through the International Student Fee.

+ Material fees of $25 apply for some courses
* Some campuses offer some single dorm rooms. Single rooms are available on a first come, first served basis for a fee of $250. If we are unable to accommodate your single room request and you have paid the extra $250, this amount will be refunded.

Refund Policy

Refund Policy - Residential and Day Programs

Prior to the Start of SIG

Because SIG must hire staff and confirm space at its host institutions long before the start of the summer sessions, we are unable to make program refunds to students who cancel with 15 days of the program start date. Please see refund information listed below:

Prior to 45 days of program start: 100% refund
31-44 days prior to program start: 75% refund
15-30 days prior to programs start: 50% refund
Within 15 days prior to programs start: no refund

If a program is canceled by SIG before the session begins, SIG will issue a refund of program fees paid. If a program is terminated during the session, SIG will consider the circumstances and may, in its sole discretion, issue a partial refund or credit. Under no circumstances, medical or otherwise, will SIG refund the $95 application fee due at the time the application is submitted. Refunds are not provided once the sessions begins.

Medical Withdrawal

The SIG World Class Coverage Insurance Protection Plan provides some tuition relief in the event of a medical withdrawal both prior to and during the SIG program. It also provides medical coverage in such an event. Learn more about the SIG insurance plan.

Refund Policy - Online Programs

Because SIG must hire faculty prior to the start of the sessions, we are unable to make program refunds to students who cancel less than 1 week prior to the start of the program. No refunds will be made after the start of the program.

Under no circumstances, medical or otherwise, will SIG refund the $25 application fee due at the time the application is submitted.

Financial Assistance & Scholarships

Need-Based Financial Assistance & Scholarships

SIG/NSGT, along with the support of additional donors, is pleased to be able to offer financial assistance to some students who wish to attend our program and ask that you please read the following information carefully before applying for financial assistance from SIG/NSGT.

Availability of SIG/NSGT financial assistance varies by campus and is not intended to cover the total cost of the student's attendance at SIG.

Financial assistance awards serve as the final payment on your account and are not attributed until all other fees are paid. You must continue to adhere to the SIG payment schedule while you are awaiting our decision.

Financial assistance is offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Once funds are exhausted, assistance is no longer available. Be sure to submit your application early. To qualify for assistance, you must send a completed SIG program application and include the non-refundable $95 SIG application fee. SIG will begin accepting financial assistance applications on December 1, 2014.

Returning Student Discount

Earn a savings on your 2015 SIG program fee* if you meet any of the following criteria:

  • Returning SIG Residential Student**: $250
  • Returning SIG Commuter Student: $125
  • Each Enrolled Sibling: $100
  • Attend a second SIG session: $250

* Discounts cannot be applied towards the application fee. All discounts will be applied to your final balance.
** Returning student discounts only available until April 1, 2015.
