of 10-12, supervised by a college student counselor.

Who:
Academically gifted students
currently in grades 9 though 11 or ages 14-17, scoring at 95th%
or above on standardized tests or presenting evidence of advanced
academic ability and achievement. The program is open to both international

Why:
Admission to the
most competitive U.S. colleges has become increasingly difficult.
Students need every possible advantage. This program not only focuses
specifically on college admissions skill development but also provides
students with the social and cultural experience of living on a
prestigious college campus for three weeks. College admissions
officers look for evidence of students seeking new challenges and
engaging themselves in ongoing learning. They are impressed by
students who do additional academic work beyond the school year.
The Program
The academic day consists of five 75-minute periods. All
courses meet daily for three weeks, for a total of 15 sessions
for each class. Each student will take the following courses:
College
Admissions Seminar
Seminar includes test preparation, essay writing, interviewing
skills, and campus application development. Interviews with college
admissions officers and visits to college campuses are included.
Seminar is taught by an experienced college admissions counselor.

Two SIG courses from the wide array of humanities, math and science,
multi-disciplinary, visual and performing arts, and fitness and
recreation courses. or
One SIG Course from the

and one SIG Study/Tutorial.
