Need-Based Financial Assistance

Due to the high number of applications received before the application deadline, all SIG financial assistance has been dispersed for Summer 2010.

For families interested in learning about other scholarship opportunities and fundraising ideas, please visit www.giftedstudy.com/fundraising.asp.

SIG/NSGT is pleased to be able to offer financial assistance to some students who wish to attend our program and ask that you please read the following information carefully before applying.

Availability of SIG/NSGT financial assistance varies by campus and is not intended to cover the total cost of the student’s attendance at SIG.

Financial assistance awards serve as the final payment on your account and are not attributed until all other fees are paid. Following the submission of your application for assistance, you must continue to adhere to the SIG payment schedule while you are awaiting our decision.

Award decisions are based on the financial documents you provide with your application. All financial assistance recipients will be notified of the type and amount of award by mail.

In order to be considered for financial assistance, you must submit the following no later than March 15, 2010:

  1. SIG program application with the non-refundable $150 SIG application fee
  2. This financial aid application form
  3. Appropriate supporting documentation

Applications for financial assistance and the SIG application form will not be processed until the application fee is paid. Financial assistance is offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Once funds are exhausted, assistance is no longer available to families. Each year, the requests for assistance far exceed the amount of funds SIG has available for students. Unfortunately, we are NOT able to offer financial assistance to all applicants, and very rarely are we able to offer a full scholarship.Families are encouraged to apply early to increase their chance for consideration.

SIG/NSGT accepts financial assistance applications beginning December 1.

Please check our website periodically for updates and information on financial assistance, scholarship opportunities and fundraising ideas.
