Bryn Mawr has been home to our SIG program for more than 33 years! This forward-thinking campus was one of the first in the country to offer women students graduate level PhD programs. SIG's STEAM+ curriculum, focused on developing 21st century skills, carries on this legacy of innovation through programs designed for students in need of activities that stretch their abilities, expand their knowledge, and engage them in creative and active learning. Academic classes offer a variety of interdisciplinary studies in the fields of science, technology, mathematics, and humanities with the goal of developing both the intellectual, social, and emotional needs of high-potential youth.
Student activities enhance the challenging academic curriculum through additional social and cultural interaction. Surrounded by like-minded peers, gifted students are more likely to feel comfortable expressing themselves and showcasing their talents. During recreational activities, students are encouraged to work and recreate together, support each other, share their unique interests, and have fun. During academic evening workshops (residential programs only), students prepare students for success in the 21st century world.
