Courses at SIG

Students take four classes in SIG’s four-period day (or two classes for morning/afternoon only students). Students must be age listed for each course by August 31st*.

*Students must turn 5 by June 1st to enroll for courses.

All campus courses are ninety minutes long and run for 15 sessions during the three-week program. Personal laptops are highly recommended for ages 9-12.

The most important thing to consider when choosing courses is to create a schedule that helps the student develop individual passions and also to pursue topics of interest.

Please Note: Students must choose alternative courses in case a selected class is at capacity or is not offered due to under-enrollment. Our final schedule of courses is reflective of the preferences of students enrolled at that campus. Course schedule adjustments by campus occur in April. Students may transfer to another campus if there is space on the alternate campus. For courses that require a laptop or device, technology specifications are noted in course descriptions.

Academic Performance / Evaluations

Parents will receive a Student Performance Review (SPR) within a month after the completion of the SIG program. The SPR is a personalized assessment describing your child’s performance in the program and detailing their accomplishments. SPRs take you inside your child’s experience at SIG, providing customized feedback on their learning experiences in the program – while also offering recommendations for further development. SPRs can be sent to schools upon request.
