Summer Institute for the Gifted Immunization Policy

SIG is a non-profit organization subject to governmental regulation. We have a clear responsibility, based upon our mission as well as the law, to protect vulnerable populations and to ensure the safety and well-being of all our students. Therefore, all students must have, or obtain, the immunizations below and show proof of vaccination.

Required (up-to-date on the following):

  • Measles
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Chicken Pox (unless proof of immunity)
  • Tetanus
  • Diphtheria
  • Polio

  • Pneumococcal Conjugate

If you do not have evidence of the above immunizations, we cannot continue with the enrollment process unless and until you can provide proof of vaccination. This proof of vaccination needs to be accepted before the first day of the program. For students who arrive to campus without the required medical documentation, and who are unable to provide proof of immunization, SIG reserves the right to send the students home at their parents’ expense, and no refund will be issued. A review of our refund policy is available at If you have any questions about this requirement, or wish to decline your enrollment, please reach out to Admissions at
