Just minutes from the beach in the heart of Los Angeles, this SIG program allows gifted and talented students the chance to attend America’s top public university while exploring the world’s entertainment capital. At UCLA, SIG offers our unique STEAM+ curriculum that applies creative thinking across multiple disciplines to solve real-world problems. Students choose from a wide variety of courses incorporating science, technology, engineering, arts, math, humanities, and fitness and recreation. Students also enjoy fun, recreational activities, trips, and more, to help develop their socio-emotional skills and teach them the importance of work-life balance.
Our SIG UCLA Elementary Extended Commuter Program allows students to stay on campus from 8 am to 6 pm, providing extended hours for drop-off and pick-up times. Plus, two more hours of summer fun!
Say goodbye to the stress of LA traffic and pick-up times. With the Extended Commuter Program, your child will have more time to participate in on-campus activities, connect with like-minded peers from around the world, and gain valuable skills. The additional fee for this program is only $100 per week.

Student activities enhance the challenging academic curriculum through additional social and cultural interaction. Surrounded by like-minded peers, gifted students are more likely to feel comfortable expressing themselves and showcasing their talents. During recreational activities, students are encouraged to work and recreate together, support each other, share their unique interests, and have fun. During academic evening workshops (residential programs only), students prepare students for success in the 21st century world.
