As the first public university in the nation, The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is also one of the anchor points of the famed Research Triangle and poises itself at the heart of "what's next." Along with being minutes from Franklin Street, students are immersed in an ever-growing city while living amongst those traditional university vibes. With Duke University and Google also minutes away, students will enjoy all of what the Triangle has to offer to balance activities as well as exposure to the hottest research area in the country while diving deeper into career interests such as STEM (Neuroscience, Bacteriology, Regenerative Medicine, Physics), economics, python, and more!
Student activities enhance the challenging academic curriculum through additional social and cultural interaction. Surrounded by like-minded peers, gifted students are more likely to feel comfortable expressing themselves and showcasing their talents. During recreational activities, students are encouraged to work and recreate together, support each other, share their unique interests, and have fun. During academic evening workshops (residential programs only), students prepare students for success in the 21st century world.
