Lunch and Snacks
Lunch is provided at all locations for all students. Snacks are not provided at any location.
Prescription medications should be administered at home in the morning or after the program in the evening, whenever possible. Any prescription medications to be administered to the students midday must be prepackaged, left with the Director, and administered solely by the Director, or Nurse where applicable. SIG uses CampDoc.com to house student medical information. Students will receive an email from CampDoc shortly after acceptance.
Dress on campus is casual. Students may wear shorts, T-shirts, or other casual clothes that are neat, clean, and appropriate. Shoes are required at all times.
SIG Day campuses offer an Extended Day Program for additional afternoon supervision.
SIG will provide supervised play, social, study, and rest time before and after the regular program. The extended day schedule is as follows:
- 7:45 a.m. - 8:45 a.m. daily
- 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. daily or
- 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. daily
The cost for this three-week service is $150 for morning supervision and $150 for each one-hour segment of afternoon supervision. Arrangements and payments for the service are to be made prior to the start of the program through the Summer Institute for the Gifted office. With 24-hour advance notice and program confirmation, hourly drop-in care is available at $15/hour.
